What is BIM?

BIM, which stands for "Building Information Modeling", is a process that involves creating and managing digital representations of the physical and functional characteristics of building objects. This process is supported by various software and enables architects, engineers and construction companies to efficiently plan, design, construct and manage buildings and infrastructure.

The Matterport BIM file is an additional product that you can purchase after scanning a property and uploading it to your Matterport Cloud account. The files received can be easily imported into Autodesk® Revit software. The BIM (Building Information Modeling) package includes:

  • .RVT (compatible with Revit 2020 and later)

  • .DWG (floor plan)

  • .DWG (Reflective Ceiling Plan)

  • .IFC (Industry Foundation Classes)

  • .RCS (ReCap Scan, point cloud)

Matterport BIM is designed for those working in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) field, such as:

  • Industries: commercial, retail, data centers, general architectural/design firms, engineering firms, construction firms.

  • Users: Professionals in organizations responsible for design, construction, project management, acquisition and leasing.

Before you start

To order a Matterport BIM file, you must meet the following conditions:

You must have a Professional plan or higher.

Use a Matterport Pro3, Pro2, Pro2 Lite, Pro or Leica BLK 360 camera.

Note that if there is even one scan from a 360 camera or phone/tablet in the space, the add-on is not available. 

The space must be active (not archived or deleted). 

The space can have any sharing status (public, private, unpublished or password protected).

Price list

The price is approximate and always depends on the specific model.

 

LOD* 100 ( Architecture ) = 12,- CZK/m²

LOD 200 or LOD 200+ ( Architecture ) = 18,- CZK/m²

LOD 300 ( Architecture + MEP ) = 30,- CZK/m²

 

*LOD = Level of Detail
