MATTERPAK™

What is the Matterpak™ Bundle?

The MatterPak™ Bundle is a set of assets that you can download and import into third-party programs. It contains:

  • Colorized point cloud (.XYZ)

  • Reflected ceiling plan image

    • (.JPG) Multiple files if multiple floors

    • (.PDF) All floors in one file

  • High-resolution floor plan image (This is NOT the Schematic Floor Plans.) This is similar to the ceiling plan image but of the floor.

    • (.JPG) Multiple files if multiple floors

    • (.PDF) All floors in one file

  • 3D mesh file (.OBJ) including the necessary texture map image files (.JPG)

Who is the Matterpak™ Bundle for?

The MatterPak™ Bundle is for architects, engineers, and construction professionals who want to import these assets into 3D third-party programs* (such as 3ds Max, ReCap, Revit, or AutoCAD), perform additional work, and then offer as part of a commercial package to their clients. For example:

  • Architects and engineers can use the point cloud to quickly create an as-built model and jump-start their designs.

  • Construction professionals can use the ceiling plan and floor plan images for documentation/verification and building turnover packages, or use the point cloud as a part of the QA/QC process.

*For assistance on how to import the files and use the files within the third party program, or to check if these are the right files for your use-case, please contact the specific 3D third-party program's support team.

How to download a MatterPak™ Bundle 

The Matterpak™ Bundle is not available for models with scans from a 360 camera or an iPhone. Models must only contain scans (3D and 360 views) from a Matterport Pro, Pro2, Pro2 Lite or Leica BLK360 camera in order to be able to download a Matterpak™ Bundle.

  1. Login to Matterport Cloud (my.matterport.com)

  2. Select the space you want to order a Matterpak™ bundle from

  3. When the space opens in Showcase, click the Add-Ons tab, then click the Matterpak card

  4. Click the Buy button to purchase your MatterPak™

  5. You can also click on Download Sample to download a Pro2 sample MatterPak™

If your Buy button is not active, have an Admin enable Matterpak™ Bundle for purchase via Settings > Manage:

The MatterPak™ Bundle is a one-time purchase per Space 44EUR. Please see pricing information here. 

Each MatterPak™ Bundle purchase is a-la-carte, similar to Schematic Floor Plans. Your Usage bill reflects all purchases from the previous month. The Account Owner or Billing Contact can check purchases on the Usage page within Settings on my.matterport.com. 

Once purchased, the Buy button will immediately become a Download button. Any admin and collaborator with editor access for that Space can download the bundle as many times as desired from the Downloads tab (see below). Each time you click Download, the zip folder will download to your local computer. Users can continue to download existing purchases, even if the setting is disabled for future MatterPak™ Bundle purchases at the account level.
