By default, all Matterport spaces start as Private, meaning that nobody outside of collaborators to the Space can access the Showcase.
Note: If you have a Free plan and your model was scanned using a 360 camera, there will be no option to share. Upgrade to a Starter plan to allow for sharing.
To adjust the privacy settings on your Matterport 3D Space, click on the lock labeled Share in the upper righthand corner of the space, located next to the Edit button.
You will see a pop up dialog box with the Share & Invite options.
Spaces that are "Private" can only be viewed by people who are logged in to your Matterport Cloud. Specifically, this includes the person who uploaded the space, any account admins, and other Collaborators you've invited to view/edit for this particular space. For an extra level of security, keep the space Private and invite Collaborators to view as needed using the "restricted to collaborators" option.
Spaces can be “Password Protected”. Password Protected spaces can be viewed by anyone who has the link, and knows the password. To learn how to set a password on a space, click here.
Choose "Unlisted" to allow anyone with the link to view your Space, including our Add-On services that distribute content to real estate websites. URLs for Unlisted Spaces may be shared and re-shared by anyone with the URL. They may also be embedded on websites. (See more below about embedded spaces)
The next setting, “Public” will be greyed out unless your account has enabled the Public sharing in your Account Settings.
To gain the option to use the Public sharing, Account Admins may go to Account Settings and move the switch to the right.
“Public” provides similar discoverability benefits as compared to Unlisted but will also create an SEO-friendly page on the Matterport’s Discover site. Click on the View Page link within the Share dialog to visit your page. Anyone on the internet can view the page on Matterport Discover and the space page will also be crawled by search engines.
For best results, be sure to review the information on the Space Detail tab to ensure detail such as Description, Address and Keywords accurately portray your Space.
IMPORTANT: By making a Publicly Shareable Page, you are acknowledging you have business justification to do so with Spaces under management in your Account. The Space itself as well as provided Space Details will become discoverable and public by the intended nature of this Privacy Setting.
To remove your Space from Discover, simply select a Privacy Setting other than Public.
To bar use of this option, simply disable the option in your Account Settings.
Privacy
In terms of search engine visibility, the my.matterport.com domain is not indexed. This means by default the Private Matterport spaces you create will not appear in search engine results. However, if you embed a Matterport Space in an <iframe> tag or link to it on a webpage, then when Google crawls that page they will recognize that link and add it to their index.
Matterport does not share your public spaces with third parties without your permission. The only way someone outside your organization can access your spaces is if they have the Unlisted sharing link, if it is embedded on your website, or the space is Public.
Getting the Showcase Link
To get the Showcase link, click "Copy link", which copies the full link to your computer’s clipboard. Then you may share that link with anyone you'd like, or copy the embed to add to a website. Click on 'Options' will get you the Branded, Unbranded, and MLS versions. See below for more info.
Choose Which Version to Share
You can share three different versions of the Matterport space. Click on Options to get the following:
Branded
